Hello people of Medium, I'm Lyrical Lioness, Canadian at large.

I am a musician first and elementary school teacher second. I studied opera in school and taught concert band most of my time in the school system. I first explored writing, through writing music, and produced an album of children's music back in 2014. I have always loved to write.

I write from what I call, the 'middle of life' - the nuance, tender tension, and the places we avoid because it's too vulnerable to look at, too hot to touch. I'm always open to growth and challenging my thinking - to a point.

I write under a pseudonym because the truths I work with - especially in education - are easily dulled by institutional polish. This space lets me speak with clarity and the bite they deserve.
